About Me
I live in, and love the town of Pleasanton, CA and we have been residents here for 28 years. I have always had and adored my pets. Our pets are integral members of the family. Over the years, many of our vacations have been altered just to accommodate the dogs. From booking pet friendly cabins and houseboats and hotels, to renting motor homes to travel cross country in...because they are truly a part of our family.
But, there are times when it is neither feasible or possible to travel with all the "family members". I personally know how important it is to have your pets in competent, trusted care. Without this peace of mind, it was very difficult for me to enjoy a vacation. This is how I was first introduced to professional petsitting. After experiencing that comfort level, there was no other option for me in regards to pet care while we were away. Our dogs were happy, not stressed and content to be at home. This became especially important as one of our dogs reached his senior years. As a bonus, our home was also looked after.
I have had such great experiences with my own petsitters, and have enjoyed jobs petsitting as a hobby for friends and family. I also had the pleasure of fostering a Hurricane Katrina orphan pup working with the SPCA. It was time to step into the business professionally myself. My goal as your petsitter is to customize to your particular needs, because no petsitting job is the same as another. Your pets happiness and well being is my priority, and they will be treated as part of my "family". Your home services will be handled discreetly, respectfully and with security in mind. No request is too odd. The goal here is to maintain the comfort level and routine your pets are accustomed to.
I am insured, bonded and licensed. I am a certified member of Pet Sitters International which is the worlds largest organization of professional petsitters. I have attended obedience, CGC training & agility classes with my own dogs. I have taken pet First Aid, and also multiple classes in a series of veterinary assistant training courses. I have also achieved the points necessary for recertification with P.S.I. in the past from online courses, seminars, video training and testing for their certification program. This program allowed me to grow and continue my education in business and animal care to best serve my clients and their pets.
